As-salamu alaykum “Peace be upon you”,
I’m Yousef Khamees Abu Aisheh. I was born in Amman in 1981. Earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Al-Ahliyya Amman University. I was passionate about visual design and photo editing so I worked as a designer before graduating from the university.
Starting from 2004 till now, I worked as a designer/ UX designer for different famous and important people and companies including Acotel Group, Progress Soft, Maktoob, Yahoo, Jamalon, Souq and now Amazon. There has been a camera in my hand since 2009, I carry it everyday and it really is a part of who I am. It’s a strong part of my identity. So much so, that the line between my hobby as a photographer and my profession as a designer is truly blurred, both mostly caused me to focus on the picture instead of the view in front of me. I do what I love, I try to not work a day in my life.
I love photography because of the voice it gives me. It speaks volumes of words I could never fit together, it shows how beauty can be found in anything, and it exposes angles of the world that shock/ elate me, let me tell a story, freeze the time, put you in the past and show my perspective.
It is humbling to be recognized for my photography by 1x, 500px, Shutterstock and many other photography communities.
Thank you for being part of the journey, without the support and constant inspiration my passion would simply be a dream.
